Eddie Gottlieb coached the Philadelphia Warriors to the FIRST NBA Title in 1951. Gottlieb's Warriors defeated the Chicago Stags 4 games to 1 to win the NBA's first Championship games in 5 games.
Kareem Abdul Jabbar was the very first draft choice of the NBA's 1969 Draft by the last place Milwaukee Bucks. In the 1970-71 NBA season Jabbar would lead the last place Bucks to the NBA Crown. Jabaar had won previous Titles in High School and in College at UCLA and would enjoy 5 more NBA Championships with the Los Angeles Lakers.
In 1982 James Worth helped lead North Carolina to the NCAA Championship. Worthy was a standout North Carolina Tar Heal before being drafted by the Lakers. As an NBA standout, Worthy would score more than 16,000 points and be elected into the NBA Hall of Fame. It all started at the University of North Carolina.
